Carrie's love for music grew since she played clarinet as a child and learned to play her college roommate's guitar. It would be an adventure as she played for InterVarsity, started writing her own music, and leading music for various church groups. Carrie performed a song she wrote for her boy friend Tim at the place where they had their first date. Months later he would join Carrie recording a CD of her original music and soon after Carrie sang to Tim on their wedding day!
As her family grew she performed cover and original songs at events such as church and bereavement programs. She became involved in community theatre and performing with Jess , an amazing pianist, who was instrumental in helping her grow as a vocalist.

Since then she's performed popular songs from many decades at festivals, coffee shops, luncheons, private events, fundraisers, restaurants and for adults with special needs. In 2017 she and four others formed a band (Hometown) which plays a variety of cover songs. In 2019 Mark Wenzlaff and Carrie would form The Dolcé Duo as they both play guitars and perform close vocal harmonies. They perform throughout Southeaster Wisconsin at a variety of genres including restaurants, festivals, special events and over 70 senior communities. Carrie looks forward to many more years of sharing her music. Thank you for visiting this site!
